Recording for New Animal Collective LP to begin in January

According to Avey Tare, the group recently finished two weeks of writing sessions in Baltimore, where they put together five new songs. Recording will begin in January. “We’re really excited about this record,” he said. “It’s been really fun jamming with those guys again.”
UPDATE: In July, Dave Portner told The Baltimore Sun that the group had approximately ten new songs written. That makes about 15 new tracks to take to the studio.
